The Nagaland Planter is an object sourced by Olive Ateliers and is exactly as shown. Increasingly rare the planter is sourced from the Naga state of India. Traditionally the hollowed out log was used for storage. Today, it can stand quietly alone or anchor a tree mid-room. Ultimately the Nagaland Planter acclimates to your living space with ease; whether styled among a vintage or modern interior, it belongs.

Revered as an artifact from a distant culture or introduced into your home for its beauty and texture, it is the authenticity of this planter which elevates the contemporary climate of your home simply by bringing the outdoors in.

The rains call for ‘band day’ where you allow your small folk to drag cookware from the cabinets to thunder out rhythms with wooden spoons. The cleverest of the brood tries his hands on drum of the planter keeping the beat alive.

“Nico! Gently my darling,” as you feel the log release a bit of its soul.

It is the use in our modern culture which adds to the strengths of Naga heritage. The timeless beauty in the rainforest woods remains undisturbed - its creases and fissures in the finely honed log translating a proud heritage of the Naga tribes.

Expect patina, texture, and signs of age. Non-structural imperfections and minor repairs may be present adding character to the object.
