About This Product
Object is exactly as shown. This substantial limestone trough, sourced from Indonesia, speaks of quiet utility and enduring strength. Originally, these hand-carved vessels held water in agricultural settings, their simple form a testament to old-world necessity and craft.
This venerable object transcends its original function. It offers versatile beauty for modern living. Imagine it as a sculptural centerpiece for a garden, a unique planter indoors, or even, with appropriate modification, a basin or water feature. The worn-in texture and natural variations in the stone add warmth and character to any environment.
Expect varied patina, textural irregularities, and signs of wear consistent with its age and historical use. This object is not modernly water safe and should be used with an internal liner or properly sealed if planting directly for indoor use, or when converting to a water feature.
