The Montmartre Chair is an object sourced by Olive Ateliers. Inspired by renowned Danish designer Henning Kjaernulf this piece celebrates meticulous craftsmanship in chair design.
Whether in the study, living room, or reading nook, the Montmartre adds elegance and functionality to any space. With defiant front pair of turned legs and sculpted top rail the arching back supports a brown plaid cushion as does its seat. The biography of the artist who inspired this chair design is shrouded in mystery. Of lesser mystery is the life of the 19 th c Bohemian whose provocative bold strokes and vibrant colors captured the life of the Montmartre. This was an artist who would impetuously stand on any chair for a better view.
Fast forward to the barefoot boy standing on the padded seat of the Montmartre hall chair next to a print of Lautrec’s dancing girls. The boy holds his breath until you turn the corner before shouting, Home base! Your reply, Get down. Oh, and you’re out!
Expect subtle nuances in the newly reupholstered fabric, wood grain, coloration, texture or patina, all of which enhance its unique allure. Repairs and non-structural distressing may be present from age and use, adding character to the object.

If your item arrives damaged or materially defective, regardless of exclusions, we will reimburse, replace, or otherwise resolve the issue.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Standard will deliver to your doorstep only. White Glove will deliver all eligible objects to the room of your choice with a 2-person crew and includes packaging removal.
Depending on the object, a delivery appointment and signature may be required. Our delivery partners will contact you to arrange and confirm your appointment.
We currently offer delivery in the contiguous 48 states. Delivery fees vary by zip code and order total. White Glove service to remote areas may be limited.
