Below, you’ll find simple, clear guidance for installation, care and upkeep of your Fountain.

INSTALLATION

Your fountain will require light installation of components, as they are separately packaged during transit to prevent damage. Below are instructions and parts needed for installation of your Provenance Fountain.

Parts & Materials:

x1 Cast Housing (Base + Top)
x1 Submersible Pump Assembly
x1 Copper Spout
x1 Large Stopper Plug (cord)
x1 Small Stopper Plug (drain)
x5 Plastic Shim Spacers

Step by Step Installation:

1. Begin by removing the Pump Kit and unwrapping the Cast Housing from inside of the fountain.

2. Separate the pieces and remove all contents from the Cast Housing.

3. Using the small Stopper Plug, plug the drain hole of the fountain while ensuring the plug is firmly and tightly sealed.

4. With the submersible pump in hand, use a partner to assist with lifting the fountain. Feed the power cord through the hole in the center base of the fountain, following the channel to exit. To avoid damage, do not allow the fountain to pinch the cord when it is resting.

5. Once you have fed the power cord, use the large Stopper Plug which is already pre-attached to the power cord to plug the cord hole. Using a firm tool, such as the bottom handle of a screwdriver, press down on the stopper, all the way around, to ensure an ultra-tight seal. It is recommended that the top of the stopper be even with or slightly below the outlet hole. This will ensure that the fountain is completely watertight.

6. Place the Cast Housing Base at the bottom of the fountain, surrounding the Pump Assembly.

7. Attach the clear rubber tubing at the end of the Pump Assembly to the small copper inlet at the bottom of the Cast Housing Top. Cover the submersible base. Screw the single copper spout directly into the Cast Housing Top.

8. Insert 3 to 4 Plastic Shim Spacers in-between the Top and Base to allow for water to continuously flow toward the pump with ease.

9. Gently fill the basin of the fountain with the provided pebbles, and place some pebbles on top of the Cast Housing Top as well, in order to slightly weigh it down on the spacers, and create a seamless aesthetic.

10. Fill the fountain with water to your desired height, ensuring water always remains filled well above the Cast Housing to ensure the pump never runs dry, preventing damage.

11. Connect your fountain to a power source and enjoy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I clean my fountain?

The simplest way to clean the fountain is with a regular full draining and rinsing of the pebbles and components. Cut power to the fountain and remove the small Stopper Plug in order to drain the fountain. Rinse fresh water through the fountain and pebbles until it runs clear. Return the small Stopper Plug and refill the fountain. Additional efforts may be taken to remove unwanted debris and clear the pump assembly from any unwanted buildup. You may also unscrew the copper piping from the Cast Housing Top and buff it with a copper polish or clean it with a cloth and soapy water if you wish.

How do I fix the water flow of my fountain after it has slowed down?

If your fountain loses water pressure, check the filter on the submersible pump to ensure it is free of debris like moss, grass, or leaves from surrounding landscaping.

How do I adjust the water pressure or sound of my fountain?

You can control the water pressure by turning the dial on the pump filter. This adjustment will impact both the water flow and the sound volume. Additionally, using slightly less water can increase the sound of the fountain.

Is the wiring waterproof?

Yes, the cord and plug on the fountain are both weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use. Please use outdoor extension cords if the installed fountain cord does not reach the nearest outlet.

How do I drain my fountain?

To drain your fountain for cleaning, repairs, or relocation, use the small Stopper Plug located on the interior sidewall of the fountain. Consider recycling drained water to your nearby landscaping.

WINTER CONDITIONS

Planters, fountains, and birdbaths should always be emptied of water before freezing temperatures set in. If possible, bring them indoors for the season. If they must remain outside, elevate them slightly on treated wood strips to prevent water from collecting underneath. Bring the Cast Housing, Pump Assembly, and Stopper Plugs safely inside for the winter. It is essential to avoid collecting trapped water in the vessel over the winter, which can freeze and cause damage.

Failure to winterize the object properly may result in accelerated natural wear or damage, which is not covered under any warranty offered by the company.

A FINAL NOTE ON NATURAL AGING

Outdoor environments are wonderfully unpredictable. Temperature shifts, sunlight, moisture, and even the passage of time will each leave their mark on your Olive Ateliers objects. Embrace these changes as part of the life of your furniture and accessories. Whether you choose regular maintenance or let nature take its course, your objects will continue to tell their story, season after season.
