About This Product
The Cast Heritage Bird Bath is the classic pedestal form: a wide, shallow basin lifted on a sturdy cast column. Poured in cement and finished to look as though it has already weathered a hundred seasons, it is a faithful reproduction that carries the quiet gravity of the antique that inspired it.
The sparrows find it before you do. By the second morning there is a queue along the garden wall, and your youngest keeps a running list of who has come to drink.
Cast in cement by domestic makers and built to live outdoors, this is a piece the weather improves. Fill the basin for the birds and let time do the rest; the cement will soften and gather a little moss, which is rather the point. Variations in casting and color are to be expected.
